IEARN is the project where children from more than 120 countries of the world communicate through different interest groups. The students of our school participated last year in “MY NAME” project. The pupils of 7a (6a last year) created their own profiles and shared their thoughts with children from foreign countries.
Encouraged by their English teacher Gulshan Samadova the students Maryam Adilkhanova(6A),
Farida Farajova(6A), Hafiza Abbaszadeh(7A) and Gunel Musaeva(7A) took an active part in the new project “One Day in Life”. The pupils described one day in their life – November. 10 and wrote articles about the day, took pictures and even videos. They described how they spent the day beginning from morning till night: before school, at school, after school activities. It was interesting to find out a lot of interesting information about them. For example, Maryam wrote about her cousin’s birthday spent in Japanese restaurant, Farida wrote about her favourite activity – playing the piano, Gunel described her wardrobe in pictures, Hafiza wrote about her school day. They sent all materials to IEARN site and received answers from the children from different countries – Taiwan, the USA, Korea, Nigeria, Romania, etc. The students from other countries also shared their photos, videos and interesting stories with our students.
This project improves the pupils’ writing skills, enlarges their worldvision and helps them to develop internet communication skills. Now our pupils are eager to participate in further projects. The projects like this create good learning atmosphere and children learn the subject materials with interest and great fun.
