An event devoted to Azerbaijan Constitution Day and Azerbaijan Revival Day took place at Educational Centre on November 11. The event launched under the rhythms of Azerbaijan National Anthem.

Methodologist of the Elementary school Gulnara khanum gave a short overview of the national constitution adoption history.
“The first Constitution of independent Azerbaijan was adopted under the direction of Heydar Aliyev on November 12, 1995. Pursuing centuries-old traditions of state organization the people of Azerbaijan claimed its premeditation to protect Azerbaijan Republic, safeguard democratic order, strive for civic society reinforcement and live in friendship, peace and safety with other nationalities. The Constitution of Azerbaijan Republic is the guarantor of human rights and freedoms protection. It consists of 5 parts, 12 Chapters and 158 Articles.
The Constitution laid the foundation of state construction of Azerbaijan Republic. The decision to establish Constitution Day was taken on February 6, 1996.”

Gulnara khanum talked also at length about process in November – December 1988. An out of order meeting of people in sign of protest to the politics of united and republican authorities regarding Upper Kharabakh issue broke out on Baku main square named after Lenin then, Azadlig (Liberty) now. Those developments are considered as the beginning of the national liberation movement finalizing in republican independency being gained. At the beginning of December Soviet Troupes broke up a nation-wide rally.
Since 1992, December 17 is being celebrated as National Revival Day”.

The event was concluded with the performance of EC students reciting verses devoted to Independent Azerbaijan.
