The 5-th conference of Azerbaijan English Language Teachers Association was held on November 8-9 in Baku.
AzETA was formally registered in 1996. Organization follows the goal to develop World Countries English language teachers’ professionalism and promote high quality training of ELT (English Language Training). AzETA is a World English Language Teachers Organization-IATEFL-branch.

Leading ELT specialists from various countries attended conference: professor Richard A. Orem from Illinois University (USA),
Adrian Tennant from IATEFL (UK),
Dr Mohammad Mohammadi from Urmia University (Iran),
Assistant Professor Dr. Aelin Koyalan from Izmir University (Turkey),
Professor Dirsen Tan Tutunis from Uchtepe University (Turkey) etc.
Local specialists having quite considerate experience in ELT held presentations at the conference along with world scale leading specialists. Finalist of TEA program, coordinator of international NQT project Gulshan Samadova took part in the conference on nowadays-important subject “New approach to speaking study”. The idea of the subject was driven from article in “VOICES” (IATEFL periodical). Most interesting was the fact that the author of the article attended the presentation and took part in discussions.
This coincidence one again proves that the professional development, aspiration to be aware of world achievements in personal sphere has no limits.

Warm relations binds also honored guest of the conference professor Birsen Tan Tutunis Aydin with Gylshan khanum and Birsen khanum feels at home in Baku.
Conference stimulated new start for English teachers` development and turned out to be perfect opportunity for professional opinion exchange. Minister of Education of Azerbaijan, M.Mardanov highly appreciated Azerbaijan English Language Teachers Association activity in the field of professional development of English Language Teachers in our country. |
